“No Tobacco Campaign 3.0” – Inspiring creativity for a healthier future
A poster making cum awareness program was successfully organized by Prof. Malti Rajput, convener Prahari Club Nasha Mukt Bharat under the guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kour, Principal, GDC Marh under the aegis of No Tobacco Campaign 3.0. The program was organized as a part of its ongoing efforts to promote awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and to encourage a tobacco free lifestyle among youth and the community. The competition aimed to engage students and participants in creatively expressing their thoughts on the theme “Say No to Tobacco, Yes to Life.” Students showcased artistic talent and deep understanding of the social, environmental, and health consequences of tobacco use. The judging panel consisting, Dr. Madhvi Prasher, Dr. Balwinder Saini and Dr. Sheetal Devi, evaluated the posters based on creavitity, message clarity, visual impact, and originality. The other faculty members present were Prof. Sachin Kumar, Dr. Tanu Sharma and Dr. Priyanka Gupta.

Plantation Drive in GDC Marh.
As part of the commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram, a plantation drive organized in GDC Marh under the theme " Har Ped Desh ke Naam". NCC Cadets planted saplings across the campus, spreading a message of environmental conservation and patriotism. Following the plantation drive, the cadets took a solemn pledge to uphold the values of unity and national integrity. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal GDC Marh and coordinated by Surbhi Gupta, CTO NCC.

Report on Art and Painting Competition.
Organized by the NCC unit of GDC Marh Theme: “Mother India/ My India my Pride” Date: 08 November 2025 Venue: Government Degree College, Marh The NCC unit of GDC Marh successfully organized an Art and Painting Competition on the theme" Mother India/ My India my Pride”. The event aimed to evoke patriotic feelings among students and to encourage them to artistically portray their love and pride for the nation. . NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the competition, showcasing their creativity and imagination through vibrant colors and meaningful expressions. . Each painting beautifully reflected the participants’ deep respect for the motherland and their vision of a strong and united India. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal, GDC Marh, who appreciated the efforts of students and faculty for organizing such an impactful awareness activity. The competition was coordinated by Ms. Surbhi Gupta, CTO NCC. The judging panel comprised eminent faculty members — Dr. Madhvi Parasher, Prof. Malti Rajput, and Prof. Sachin Kumar Bhagat — who evaluated the painting based on creativity, relevance, clarity of message, and visual appeal. After careful evaluation, the best three painting were declared as follows: Ritika Chib– First Position Riya Choudhary– Second Position Babita Devi – Third Position Surbhi Gupta, Assistant Professor Commerce, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of Vande mataram. She highlighted how such activities nurture patriotism and help the youth stay connected with the country’s cultural and historical roots . The event served as an excellent platform for students to express their creativity while learning about the importance of national pride and unity. It successfully fulfilled its objective of spreading awareness about love for the nation and respect for India’s glorious heritage. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Surbhi Gupta, HOD Commerce who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the panel of judges and participants for their valuable contributions and active involvement in making the event a grand success.

Screening of Documentary on Vande Mataram at GDC Marh
The 8th Girls Battalion NCC Unit of Govt. Degree College Marh organized a screening of a documentary on Vande Mataram on November 6, 2025. The event aimed to inspire patriotism and enhance students’ understanding of India’s freedom struggle. NCC cadets gathered to watch the film, followed by a brief discussion that highlighted its role in fostering national pride and unity.
